Bushkill – Dennis Mooney, V.P./Sales Manager for the Wilkins organization proudly distributes hams to the Bushkill Outreach program. Accepting the donation is Mr. Ed Crosby, a volunteer at the Bushkill Outreach.
Bushkill Outreach, located in Bushkill, PA, is a monthly food pantry for emergency distributions. Bushkill Outreach also gives out clothing for children and adults. All of the clothing has been donated. The Bushkill Outreach supports over 1,000 individuals every month.
Said Mooney, “This is the 3rd year that we’ve donated to Bushkill Outreach program. While we’re pleased at our growth business wise in 2013, unfortunately, a number of people serviced by this program has also surged in 2013.” The Wilkins organization, through Casual for a Cause, collects money from their employees, Managers, and Realtors who pay for the privilege of wearing blue jeans or denims to work. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates, at their monthly sales meeting, run a 50/50 lottery where typically, all of the money collected is donated to Casual for a Cause.
Bushkill Outreach is a Pennsylvania state registered food pantry serving people in need in Middle Smithfield and Lehman Townships. Their mission is to be spirit lead, a community effort and offer basic material support to their neighbors in their point of need. The volunteers believe that the program is vital to the community at large and all of the volunteers strive to take practical steps to offer support and sustenance in the food, necessary clothing and furnishings.
