– Effective January 22, 2011, the Pennsylvania magisterial courts raised the maximum amount to file against a defendant in a civil complaint from $8,000 to $12,000. This change encompasses magisterial courts throughout Pennsylvania.
The filing fees will remain the same. Fees are available by requesting them from the individual magisterial court in your district.
