Stroudsburg – Christina Serpico, V.P./Sr. Property Manager announced the promotion of Betsy Lloyd to the position of Senior Administrative Assistant, Property Management Department. Lloyd, who started with NEPA Management Associates two years ago, has been responsible for assisting Serpico as well as the Property Management department as an Administrative Assistant.
Lloyd, a native of Stroudsburg, has been employed in the Pocono real estate industry for the last 12 years.
Said Serpico, “Betsy handles a number of Association accounts as their property manager and/or primary contact. We all act as a team with each Association having a primary contact person. In addition to that, she is handling our maintenance and repair work-orders both for the Associations and our Corporate and branch offices. The job she has done with maintenance in preparing work orders, organizing and expanding the department has really been tremendous.”
NEPA Management Associates handles close to 40 Property Owners Associations, Condo Complexes and Townhome Communities throughout a 6 county region. Two years ago, NEPA developed a Bookkeeping & Fiscal Management program which has been a huge success and continues to grow at a rate much higher than estimated.
Said Thomas R. Wilkins, CEO, “What our Bookkeeping & Fiscal Management program does is simply put us in charge of the financial affairs of the community, which, if you do not have the proper software, banking relationships and such, can be a really big project for a volunteer Treasurer. So it has been an extremely successful program for us which we are now expanding to the public sector.”
NEPA Management Associates is expanding their bookkeeping and fiscal services to other areas, while still being involved in real estate. Currently, in cooperation with an attorney in the Bucks county area, both parties are looking to do municipal billing of utility charges such as water and sewer, renter registration and other services that are provided for on a public or semi-public format. Said Wilkins, “The easiest way to describe it is the township, borough or municipality is outsourcing that part of their business. We feel we can do this with the same level of service at most likely a better price.”
